Week of Apr 30-May 4, 2018

We are officially beginning the last two months of school this week!  We must have been having fun, because time has certainly flown. 

Notes:
  • We need our T-shirts for art this Thursday.  If you haven't already, please send those in.
  • It turns out we have an extra week of gymnastics!  Please make sure your child still has shorts and a T-shirt to do gymnastics in.
  • If you haven't already, please let the office know if you will be attending our Volunteer Tea on May 11 at 9:00 a.m.  Many of you have helped us out in grade 4 this year, and we want to acknowledge you!
  • Project Fair applications are due this Friday.  If you need a new form, please let your child's teacher know. The Project Fair is May 11 at 10:15 a.m.
  • The next couple of months have A LOT going on!  Please keep the letter with all the important dates handy.

Curriculum:
  • Math: We are going back into patterns for the next couple of weeks. 
  • L.A.
    • Spelling: New spelling words this week - Lesson 14
    • Writing: We will present our final essays this week!
  • Science: This week we will discover the purposes of roots and stems, and will complete an experiment showing how they work.
  • Social: Our projects are well underway.  This is a working week.

Monday:
  • Samayoa, Rahim library books due
  • Friday Letters due

Tuesday:
  • Choir Concert: Sing for Shelter at Park Meadows Baptist Church 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday:
  • Spring Picture Day
  • Rahim swimming

Thursday:
  • T-shirt project in art

Friday:
  • Frolicking Friday
  • Project Fair applications due
