Notes:
- The deadline to hand in forms for the free hot lunch is Tuesday, March 13th. Your child's teacher has a list if you can't remember if you handed it in or not!
- If you haven't already, please sign and return your child's report card envelope.
- We look forward to seeing you at Celebration of Learning on Thursday!
Curriculum:
- Math: A tricky part of fractions is learning about fractions of a set and then comparing them. We are learning about how a fraction of one group or set can be greater or less than the same fraction of a different set. For example, half of a small pizza (2 pieces) is less than half of a large pizza (5 pieces). You can help at home by having your child create sets and compare them.
- L.A.
- Spelling: Lesson 11 has begun this week.
- Writing: We will be learning how to brainstorm and plan a persuasive essay this week.
- Science: In science this week, we will be studying waste water. You can help at home by making sure your child jots down their water usage (watch for a message in the agenda).
- Social: We are combing social and science this week a bit as we learning about water usage and drought in the Grassland Region. We will also wrap up our journey through the regions of Alberta with our very own Calgary Stampede on Thursday!
