Social Review

For each region, students should be able to describe the six geographical features:
  • landforms
  • bodies of water
  • vegetation
  • climate
  • animal life
  • natural resources

Each region has key questions that we have studied.  We call this our "itinerary" for our travels through each region.

Boreal Forest Region:
  • What is the boreal forest ecosystem?
  • Why are Alberta's forests important?
  • How can events of the past help us understand more about a community?
  • How are the oil sands important to Alberta?
  • What do you value about the Boreal Forest region?
