Week of May 14-18, 2018

We have a busy and exciting week this week!  Please pay close attention to the agenda.

Notes:
  • Monday the 21st is Victoria Day - no school.

Curriculum:
  • Math: We are continuing to work on patterns in charts.
  • L.A.
    • Spelling Lesson 15 starts this week (some students accidentally got Lesson 16 so we'll just switch them and do 15 next time).
    • Writing: We are starting a pun unit!  Sorry not sorry if your child comes home driving you crazy with puns. 
  • Science: We get to learn more about roots and will investigate different types of leaves and what they do.
  • Social: We had our last presentation by Ms. Rahim's group today on how Alberta went from a territory to a province and the changes that came with it.  We will be looking into treaties this week.

This Week's Schedule:
Monday:
  • Friday Letters due
  • Samayoa and Rahim library books due

Tuesday:
  • Nelson library books due
  • Trip to the College Drive church to see Gregg LeRock (click here to check out his music)
  • Hot lunch orders due online

Thursday:
  • We will be working on the art project that requires markers - please send them in if you have them and are willing

Friday:
  • District Pow Wow 9:00 a.m.
  • No Friday Letters
